Johann invested the first nine years of his career at PwC (PriceWaterhouseCoopers). The first three years was in Cape Town (completing his training contract as Chartered Accountant), followed by six years in the Banking and Capital Markets Division in London, UK.
After a career break he joined Lloyds Banking Group as Financial Risk Management Consultant. During his nine years as client facing financial risk management expert in the heart of the City of London he gained invaluable knowledge and insight into the inner workings of the banking industry, its interaction with the corporate world, and an understanding of what drives asset markets both in the short as well as long run.
Johann returned to South Africa in 2015. He manages his family’s funds and enjoys educating people on various finance related topics. Johann invests most of his spare time in his family and loves cricket.
