Statutory information

Afrafin (Pty) Limited holds a category 2, or discretionary license in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act No. 37 of 2002, which is governed by the Financial Services Board of South Africa (FSB). This license is granted to advisory practices that accept more responsibility in terms of managing clients’ portfolios. 

Our practice is subjected to stringent auditing requirements dictated by the FSB as well as the Companies Act of South Africa.  Independent auditors are also registered with the FSB and approved financial statements are submitted within 3 months after each financial year-end on the 28th of February.

The Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy and a Compliants Procedure are available upon request.  The FSB and relevant legislation also requires us to implement and maintain a TCF (Treat Clients Fairly) and a POPI (Protection of Private Information) Policy Statement.  Please contact us if you would like to review these statutory documents.
